Does MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent Require 12V/5A Regulator With Solar Setup

Question:
Hi Folks, I am going to purchase a MAOO-05100k for my small self contained toy hauler. I have solar and once in awhile am plugged in to power. Would you recommend a 12 volt/5 amp regulator for this fan? You Folks are great, THANK YOU.

Hey Rick! The MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent # MA00-05100K is designed to operate on 12V DC. A separate 12 volt/5 amp regulator is not required as long as the fan is connected to a proper 12V power source.
If your solar setup and converter are supplying standard 12V power (I expect they are), the fan will operate normally without any additional regulation. The fan itself draws well under 5 amps, so your existing system should be more than enough.
Where are you headed next with your toy hauler?

Bought three fans for my class A. Two were the manual fans and the 3rd being in the kitchen area which the remote controlled fan. Had all three were professionally installed and they work great. Like the the multiple speeds that give you better control of the ventilation that suits your needs best. Also really appreciate the environmental covers, as they have worked quite well keeping the rain out, even a extremely heavy one.
