This self-priming, AC-powered water pump delivers steady flow for RV and marine systems. It clears air from the lines, reduces noise and cycling, and protects itself from overheating during extended or changing water demand.
After winterizing or running your tank dry, air can get trapped in your RV plumbing. With a manual pump, clearing that air often means loosening fittings or pouring water directly into the pump. This self-priming pump clears air on its own so water reaches the faucet without manual priming.
Because this pump is designed for use in RVs, boats, and tiny homes, noise control matters. The noise-dampening design helps reduce vibration and sound during operation, making it better suited for living spaces where pumps are installed nearby.
Opening and closing faucets creates rapid changes in water demand. This smart-powered pump responds automatically, cycling on when water is needed and shutting off once pressure is restored. Thermal protection adds a layer of safety by preventing overheating during extended use.
Quick Tips: If you have a mischievous camp cat you leave unsupervised, you might want to unplug the pump if you're going to be away from your RV for a while so they don't accidentally turn it on. If you have shaky faucets, unplugging the pump on travel days will keep it from turning on too.
The pump can be installed in varied spaces and orientations, and includes strainers and fittings to help simplify installation. The ports use straight pipe threads, which seal with washers or gaskets rather than tapered threads. Proper fitting placement helps prevent leaks and ensures reliable operation.

Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Today we're looking together at a PowerMax RV Fresh Water Pump. It has strainers, fittings, it's 115 volt with a 3.2 gallon per minute flow rate and 45 PSI pressure setting. So folks, this is a self priming and it's a start, or smart power, sorry, RV water pump. And like I said, you're gonna get the included strainer here and the different fittings you need.
And these just simply thread onto the pump where you need 'em to, depending on if it's in or out as far as the flow, you can check all that with the instructions and everything. And of course, you've got your rubber isolators here on the bottom. That's gonna help keep the vibration of the noise to a minimum. And then of course, you have your plug here. Again, 115 volts of AC intermittent power.
And this is great for faucets, showers, multiple outlets. It has a thermal protection inside of it. That's gonna prevent overheating and it adds a nice level of safety as well. And that intermediate duty cycle gives you that automatic shutoff. Again, keeping everything nice and safe.
It's a pretty simple installation. It's gonna fit into tight, small spaces with ease. And again, folks, if you're looking for a replacement, this is a great option for you. Let's go ahead and look at some quick dimensions here. I got roughly nine inches from end to end overall on a length, and a width, I'm gonna do the widest point here, which is these fittings here, roughly five and 5/8 inches wide at the widest point here.
And then as far as a height overall, roughly five inches tall from the top here. Again, folks, 3.2 gallons per minute. This is the PowerMax RV freshwater pump. I'm Steen with etrailer, reach out if you have any questions about this or the products and have a great day.
