Can Bestop HOSS Hardtop Hoist Be Adapted To Lift Hard Shell Rooftop Tent

Question:
Is there any reason I couldnt adapt the Bestop HOSS Hardtop Hoist BE39TV to use for a hard shell rooftop tent hoist? The tent is under 200 lbs and roughly 4foot x 5. Thanks!

Hey Kyle! As long as you aren't exceeding the 220 lb capacity of the Bestop HOSS Hardtop Hoist # BE39TV I don't see a reason why you wouldn't be able to adapt it to lift the tent. As I'm sure you realize, it will be up to you to figure out how to make that happen. Also, I'm sure it will void the warranty since that is not the intended purpose of the hoist.
