5th Wheel Hitch Recommendation for a 1999 Chevy Dually Truck with 8 ft Bed

Question:

I have a 1999 chev dual rear wheel full size 4 door truck and 8 ft. bed with flairs on the rear wheels. The goose neck on the 2007 Jayco fifth wheel is 42inch do I need a special hitch for this rig?

Since you have an 8 foot bed in your 1999 Chevy Truck you would need to install a stationary hitch in the bed of your truck. Nothing special required at all.

First lets start with a rail kit though, for that I recommend the Reese Rail Kit part # RP30035. Installation instructions and video attached.

For a hitch I would recommend the Pro Series 5th Wheel Hitch part # RP30928. This hitch has plenty of capacity and won't break the bank.
