My 2024 Chevy Colorado Z71 instructions for putting the transfer case into neutral says to disconnect the battery. Is there a solution for a power supply for this braking set up ? Or any braking system? Im looking for a complete flat tow system. I already have the Roadmaster tow bar BlackHawk 10,000lb I have 7-6 cord and safety cables from another vehicle. Will need - Base Plates, Diode kit, Break away, Braking system RVI Shadow?

Hey Dale, thanks for all of the information! We do have the rest of the parts you'll need to flat tow your 2024 Chevrolet Colorado Z71. I have listed them below:
Base Plate Kit - Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms item # RM28GR. This will connect directly to your BlackHawk towbar.
Battery Disconnect - Roadmaster Battery Disconnect with Switch item # RM-766
Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit item # RM-152
Supplemental Braking System - Curt RVi Series Shadow 2 Flat Tow Brake System - Wireless Monitor item # RVI94FR. This is powered directly by your Colorado's battery and includes a breakaway kit. The system includes a charge line that will keep your battery from dying. You'll have the option to monitor the voltage from the Shadow 2's in dash display.
Stoplight Switch - Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit item # RM78GR
Did you keep your 6-way connector and mounting bracket from your old flat tow setup? If not you'll also need item # RM-910030-7 and item # RM-910030-5.

To put the transfer case in neutral just put the shifter lever in neutral. Than push the #2 button on the round drive knob 5 times and watch the instrument panel and you will see the neutral light start flashing and when it stops the transfer case will be in neutral.

The simplest thing to do which I am using is to run a power wire from your 7 pin connector on your RV back to your toad. I installed a female cigarette connector that I plug my Patriot Brake Buddy into. I also had my dealer install the etrailer wiring harness on my 25 Z71 Colorado. It is much simpler than the diode kit. You basically take a 1 inch hole daw and create a hole in each rear light of your truck. This Etrailer kit has the bulbs that oop right into those holes and you seal them up and off you go! Hope everything works out for you!
