Question:
Looking to install a flat 5 trailer wiring harness into to my 2005 land rover LR3 and I was told I need a converter. But I dont see a product for a flat 5 and a connector. I had a standard flat 5 install already but it causes a fault code problem with the truck, not sure what direction to go. Ask the land rover tech and they told me they dont carry a 5 flat connection,

You will first need to install a tail light converter like Curt # C59236 on your Land Rover LR3. The link provided will show you all options. Converters vary slightly in the amount of current they can deliver, so if your trailer uses many incandescent lights you might want to choose a converter with higher current capacity. All will install in essentially the same manner.
With a 4-pole installed you will simply add TowReady 4 Pole to 5 Pole Trailer Wiring Adapter # 20036. This includes a detachable lead for the 5th wire as well as a quick-splice to wire it to your LR3.
Installation videos for both items are linked for your reference.
