What are the Roll Pins Made of on the Aluminum Scissor Steps part # AS23

Question:
What is the material used for the pivot pins. Are all parts rustproof? I am interested in this to step off a boat dock onto shore.

I spoke to my contact at Brophy and she informed me that the roll pins of the Aluminum Scissor Steps part # AS23 are made of galvanized steel. Although not as rust proof as aluminum, the zinc coating does resist corrosion quite well.
