Weight Capacity of Front Runner Truck Bed Rack for 2025 Toyota Tundra

Hi David; the Front Runner Truck Bed Rack # FR36TJ has a capacity of 55 lbs per bar with the weight distributed evenly. Most of the Thule roof boxes like # TH614 (I'm assuming this is what you meant by car topper) max out at a crossbar width of 3-5/16" and these are 3-1/2" wide so you won't be able to clamp it on there.

Is roof box compatibility your main concern? If that is the case, you're better off with a rack like the Adarac M-Series # A65AG or the Yakima BedRock HD # Y01160-58. Both have a higher capacity and would be compatible with the Thule cargo box.

Hey David, what did you end up going with for your Tundra’s rail system—did one of the Adarac or Yakima racks work better with your Thule cargo box? Knowing how it turned out could help others trying to match a roof box to their truck rack.

@RobinH I went with the Malone Cross Bed Rack that was rated for 500lbs. Hoping that’ll work.
