Hey Phil. A backup light like the Great White LED Trailer Back Up Light item # PE44AR you were looking at would definitely work. However, I recommend going with a utility light. The Opti-Brite LED Work Light item # OPT26NR. You can mount one of these on each of your posts and see as far back as 750'.
The Opti-Brite LED Work Light item # OPT26NR measures 4-1/2" x 4-15/16" and provides 2,800 lumens. It has a built in adjustable base that can be bolted directly to your posts. You'll be able to operate them with a toggle switch like item # PK34571.
What kind of vehicle or trailer are you mounting this on?

Hey Phil, how did the Opti-Brite LED work lights perform for lighting up your trailer at night? Were you able to get the range and brightness you needed for off-loading? Your update could make it easier for others setting up similar lights.
