Will Westin Truck-Pal Fold-Up Bed Ladder Work For 38-3/4" Tailgate Height

Would this ladder be ok at 38 3/4 in of the ground? Be some wiggle room for this to work Thank you

Hello Jason, thanks for reaching out. The Westin Truck-Pal Fold-Up Bed Ladder #10-3000 is only rated for use on trucks with a tailgate height up to about 38 inches from the ground, so a 38-3/4" tailgate would be just a bit too tall for it to reach the ground and work as intended.
In practice that extra inch might mean the ladder sits too steeply or doesn’t fully touch the ground, making it more difficult, or potentially even unsafe to use. There really is not much wiggle room for the tailgate height.
