Question:
We are looking for a reverse camera system for all of our tractor trailer units. We would like something that allows each Truck to have a screen and each trailer has a camera. We would like the ability to hook up to any trailer and the camera connects with a hard wire connection. Please provide me with options that would work for this project. Thanks, Chris Stembridge Northern District Manager Brazos Electric Power Coop

Hey, Chris.
We do have a great solution for you! RVS (Rear View Safety) offers a line of backup camera kits that will give you exactly the setup you’re looking for. Their systems use a quick-connect plug, which makes it easy to pair any of your trucks with any of your trailers.
If you only need one camera, go with kit # RVS-770613-213.
If you’d prefer a 2-camera setup, one on the truck and one on the back of the trailer, pick up # RVS-770614-213 instead.
And if you start with the first kit but decide to add another camera later, you can simply pick up the additional camera # RVS-771.
Are you wanting to do this project all at once or over time as needed?

Hi Chris, I installed one of these on my travel trailer and used it for about a year and half. Its good points are robust components, especially the flex cable that connects between truck and trailer. Sadly though I found the video quality so poor and grainy and the field of view so small I rarely relied on it for backing. I removed it from my trailer and it is now usefully filling a box in my basement. Will probably take it to Goodwill soon. When Tricia from etrailer reached out to see how I felt about the camera about a year after having it I told her pretty much what I stated about and asked if etrailer would be carrying Wolfbox rear view camera systems. All I got for a response was “I did see this, thank you” I haven’t ordered anything else from etrailer. Best of luck Rob
