What Snow Windshield Cover do You Have for My E-450 Class C RV?

Updated 12/18/2025 | Published 12/16/2025

Question:

Do you have a special windshield snow cover for E-450 Class C RVs? Your video comparing such covers seems to indicate that there is a larger model for RVs.

Hello Richard,

I have a slightly larger option that will work for you. We used to have an etailer one that was only 3/4 of an inch taller, but we removed it from the site.

Our etrailer cover # 288-06603 measures 70" wide x 39" tall. We do have an option that's just a bit larger. The Hopkins Heavy-Duty ArcticGuard Snow and Ice Windshield Cover # HM17529 is 73" wide x 40" tall. I attached an image showing the dimensions where the cover goes over the mirrors so you can compare it to what you have.

Do you take the camper out at all during the winter months, or getting thing geared away til the warmer months?

Yes, we are currently in Dlorida but planning to drive home to central Maine the last two weeks of January.

@RichardQ I bought the 70 x 39 for my 2017 F-150. The 39 inch height is fine. In my opinion, it could be a little wider but it works well. The elastic straps can be cumbersome to attach to the mirrors and after some harsh weather, they are difficult to peel off. I had two instances last winter where my hands slipped off the straps while removing them and I slipped and fell. Fast forward to this year. I decided to gamble and cut the elastic straps off and just use the flaps tucked in the door. We had a blizzard here on Thanksgiving weekend with some hefty winds. The cover never budged. I consistently use this cover and not using the straps has not been an issue. As for "just shaking off the snow", that would be true with a light, fluffy snow, but with ice and wet snow, everything can freeze semi-solid. When that happens, I fold it in half and put it in the bathtub to thaw out. Because it so durable, it just rolls up like new. With all that, I would still rate it a 5-star.

The first cover that I purchased from E-Trailer is the one with the E-Trailer logo on the lower right hand corner. I bought this one for my car. It is an excellent cover, and very well made. I am very pleased with it. The second cover that I purchased is for my van. and I thought that I would receive the same quality cover, but I am really disappointed in the quality of the Artic Guard cover. It is like putting a black sheet on the windshield and expecting good protection. Although the design is excellent, it is no where near the same quality as the E-Trailer cover. I do have 60 days to return it, but the design fits my van perfectly and I am going to keep it. I hope this helps you to decide.

@RogerD Thanks for the awesome review, I always love hearing that our etrailer products are great quality, especially at the price point we have them at. I will remember what you said about the Arctic when I am making my recommendations. Happy Holidays- from your friends here at etrailer

I have used the cover on a 2012 Escape and a 2020 Ranger. It fits the Ranger well and is just a little big on the Escape. On both vehicles the straps are a little hard to get around the mirrors. I have just closed the doors on the flaps. With just snow it comes right off. With an ice storm it gets very stiff, and I have had to take it into the basement to thaw out. It does leave a nice clean windshield and wiper blades.
