Hello Joseph,
Our solar panels will work in any part of the world, just as long as there is sunlight.
Our panels, like the ones in the etrailer RV Solar Panel Kit PWM Solar Controller 390 Watt Solar Panels # e99FV, will be able to charge your batteries when there is available sunlight, even during the winter months in Cleveland, Ohio.
That said, winter conditions can affect overall performance. Shorter daylight hours, lower sun angles, cloud cover, and snow accumulation on the panels can all reduce the amount of power the system produces compared to summer use. As long as the panels are kept clear of snow and have exposure to the sun, they will continue generating power, just at reduced output.
So yes, they will still work in the winter months, but maybe not as well as in the summer months do to the weather.
Are you thinking about adding solar to your camper, or just looking to add more panels to a current set-up?
