What to Use to Clean Door Before Thule Elite Van XT Bike Rack

Question:
I just bought the Thule trailer and Sikaflex 252 is on the way. I assume that cleaning the door surface before glueing is a key step. What do you recommend for cleaning? Alcohol? Thank you.

Hey Helmut, yeah alcohol would be a great choice to clean the door before installing the Thule Elite Van XT 2 Bike Rack for Ram ProMaster Rear Door # TH302013. This will strip any wax on the paint off though so if you care about the paint I would recommend applying some wax to the paint after the fact.
