Looking For A Roof Rack And Cargo Box Recommendation For My 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Hi there! I will be going on a cross country trip soon. Im looking at this roof rack Yakima Baseline to fit into my 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE. It doesnt have any sunroof. The website says its compatible with my vehicle. However, I wanted to be sure that this is the right or best roof rack for me? Is there another recommendation you can make? Im also trying to figure out what would be a good and compatible cargo box to pair this with. If you can make some recommendations, I would be really grateful. Do you also happen to know where to find the maximum weight limit of my car? I tried looking at my manual and nothing there states anything regarding this. I was able to find an info about this, but it was with Googles AI Gemini. Not sure if Id trust that info. Thank you!

A cross country road trip is exciting! I just came back from one of my own. For your 2019 Camry that roof rack you mentioned will in fact fit it, but in my opinion there is a better option out there. I recommend the Yakima # Y46XB. This roof rack uses the aero style bar, which in every case is going to be quieter than a round or square bar. Highway noise is a big things with roof racks, and that is why I love these. Aero bars typically allow cargo boxes to attach easier than a round or square bar would.

I did some research on your vehicle as well and it looks like your roof capacity is 165lbs. That is important to keep in mind when looking for a cargo box since you will have to consider the weight of the box as well as the cargo! Without knowing how much extra space you need I am going to recommend the Yakima SkyBox, # Y93QD, which is a medium sized cargo box. This clamps right around your crossbars and offers 12 cu ft of storage. Coming in at 41lbs it is lighter weight and still allows plenty of room for more weight.
