What Size Thread Does Rear View Safety Monitor Mount Have

Question:
Can This bracket be used to mount a rear view mirror on the dash ? In other words is the tab on the end the correct fitment for at windshield portion of a rear view mirror bracket ?

Hey Scott, the thread size of the # RVS-1417 that you referenced is not the same as a rearview mirror. This uses a standard tripod camera mount thread size of 1/4-20 whereas a rearview mirror uses M8 or M10.

Hi James I was asking specifically about the attachment piece that is oblong shaped, not the screw size. I was wondering if you knew if that specific piece has been and/or could be used to slide a rear view mirror onto. Typically the mirror mount slides over a male end that is on the windshield in the car.(not sure if that makes sense). I am trying to find a way to mount a rear view mirror on the dashboard of a 1941 truck.
