Hey Antony, the Blue Ox base plate kit part # BLU26HR that you referenced does fit the 2025 Ram 1500 Tungsten without any problems! Do you have a tow bar and the rest of the parts needed already?

Hello! No, we have only the stock parts yet. What we need else to order?

@Antony In addition to the base plates, you will also need a compatible tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking to flat tow your vehicle. One of the most popular compatible tow bars is the Blue Ox Avail # BX7420 which comes with safety cables. The coiled design helps keep the cables off of the ground. For lighting you can use the diode kit, # RM-15267, and not have to worry about cutting into the taillight housing. This will splice into your taillight wiring to allow your tow vehicle to control the taillight assemblies of the towed vehicle. This comes with a round 6-way connector that you will install on the front of your towed vehicle and enough coiled wire to go from there to the RV. And finally, most states now require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest system to set up and use is the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR, that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.

I plan to use this kit only for pulling the car out of the mud (offroad use), will it be suitable for this?

@Antony That's not really what it was designed for although I am sure it could work for that to a certain extent. It was designed for allowing the vehicle to be flat towed behind a motorhome and not as a recovery point so there isn't a great way to attach a strap to both sides for that. I'm guessing your truck doesn't have tow hooks?

That's right, this version of Ram (Tungsten) doesn't have tow hooks in the front.

@Antony Hmm yeah that makes sense. I still don't think this would be the most ideal solution to provide a recovery point but if you have the ability to do some fabrication I am sure something could be welded to them to provide hooks.
