How To Determine Correct Replacement Idler Hub And Bearings On A Used Lowe Boat Trailer
Updated 11/13/2025 | Published 10/20/2025 >
Question:
I bought a used Lowe boat trailer this year and Im interested in getting a spare hub and/or bearing kit for it, but I dont know the right part number for it. The axle sticker is worn, but the big print reads 310-01849-BL-A : AA01578 Non-Brake W/Springs. Based on the part number, I think it is a Karavan. It is a single axle trailer with a 5-lug hub and EZ grease spindles. Can you help me with finding the right replacement parts?

Hey John,
Unfortunately I was not able to find any information regarding the exact bearings used on that axle based off of those numbers you got off of the axle tag. In order for me to find the right replacement/spare hub for you, you will have to remove a hub and either measure the spindle or take the bearings out to get the bearing numbers. I have attached a photo that shows how to measure your spindle to get the right size bearings.
There are a few different 5 bolt lug patterns as well so I am attaching an article to show how to get the exact measurement for the right bolt pattern for your hub. Let me know what measurements you get and I can find a replacement hub for you.
