Hey Destiny, I'm more than happy to help!

The "S Class" term for tire chains has to do with it being for low clearance situations. Some vehicles will say that "S Class" chains, or low clearance chains, are required due to brakes lines, wires, or something else on the back side of the tire or tires that sit really close to the fenders (think a sports-style car).

According to page 5/110 of the online owner's manual for your 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe you'll need chains with a thickness less than 0.59" so you'll need a chain like the Konig XG-12 Pro 247 # TH01594247 if you have 235/65-17 tires, for example. These are rated with that Class S rating and will be safe to use.

What size tires do you have on your Santa Fe?

Hey Destiny, what tire size did you end up having on your Santa Fe? Once you confirm that, it’ll be easier to know if the Konig XG-12 Pro chains were the right fit. Let me know what you found—I’m here if you need a hand narrowing it down.
