Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2025 Kia Sorento w/ LED Lights

Question:
Hello, Im trying to find a quick connect trailer wiring harness for my 2025 Kia Sorento PHEV SX Prestige. U-Haul sold me the wrong one Curt C63RV, that only works with the non-LED taillights, I guess. I saw a reply from one of your techs that the only option is a splice in or clip on kit. I wanted to see if that has changed, as I dont want to get into splicing on a leased vehicle.

Hey Bryn. Our options are still limited for the 2025 Kia Sorento with LED lights. The best solution I have for you since you're leasing is the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness item # 119250KIT. This lighting kit uses clamps that attach to your tail light wires without cutting into them so it's completely removable. The clamps sense the signals going to your tail lights and send them to the converter, which then relays them to the 4-way connector.

Hey Jerred, thanks for that info. That ZCI kit is a little expensive so I'm going to wait a few months and see if a Quick Connect solution comes out. My in-laws have a wave runner that we'll want to be able to tow next summer, and maybe the occasional U-Haul trailer for Home Depot runs. Right now we're just happy to be able to use our e-bike rack on our hitch.
