Steering Stabilizer For Itasca Horizon 40AD With Freightliner XC Chassis
Published 10/07/2025 >
Question:
My 2004 Itasca Horizon 40AD is on the Freightliner XC chassis. Do I need any extra hardware to mount the Safe-T-Plus ST95MR?

Hey Ray, everything you need comes right in the box. The # ST95MR includes the proper bracket kit for the XC chassis, even back to early-2000s models like yours.
If you see a “ZF” label on the steering components, that would use a different stabilizer, but since you have the XC Chassis, that shouldn't have that at all.
Once installed, you’ll notice the Horizon feels more planted, especially when trucks pass or you hit crosswinds.
