Heavy Duty 2.5" Receiver Pintle Hitch For 18K Big Text Skid Steer Trailer With Lunette Ring

Question:
so I use a skid steer trailer big tex with a lunette ring that weighs around 18K loaded. Would the WS52ER be strong enough for that?

Expert Reply:
Yes, Eric. The # WS52ER for 2-1/2" receivers is rated up to 22,000 lbs GTW, so an 18K trailer is well within its limits. Just keep your tongue weight in the 10–15 % range; the built-in scale makes it easy to confirm you’re not overloading your hitch. It also has the ability to swap the pintle out for one of the included balls (2" and 2-5/16"), so that's nice if you ever need to tow another trailer.
Do you also have other trailers with standard couplers, or is the skid steer the main one?
