I am looking for a surge brake hydraulic actuator for a 5000lb rated tandem axle boat trailer. Trailer has drum brakes. What is your recommendation? Thanks

Hey David! Assuming you want a coupler with a 2" ball and have a 3" wide tongue the Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator # DM72VR is what I recommend. The EZ-Latch on the Demco actuators really makes hooking up and disconnecting a simple process so I'm a big fan of it. It also has a 120-hour salt spray rating and is made in the USA.
Do you have free backing brakes? If you don't, you will also need to add the # DM5836 for a reverse lockout.
