Is there much difference in noise level between the Fogatti FG55FR and an older Atwood or Dometic furnace?

Susan, that’s one of the big perks of the Fogatti line, which includes # FG55FR. Compared to older single-speed Atwood and Dometic units, the Fogatti runs quieter thanks to its variable fan speeds and insulated housing. It’s not “silent,” but the drone you’re used to when the furnace kicks on is much more muted. Many folks say they sleep better because it cycles smoother.

Also, Fogatti is one of the only furnaces that include a thermostat and controller wired for the wall so you can control it without needing a separate thermostat on your RV. That being said, you can still hard wire to your existing thermostat if you have one, but you'd need to utilize the blue wiring and contact Fogatti per their instructions.

If you end up needing a service door, you can use white door # FG95FR or black door # FG35FR.
