Will Konig K-Summit Tire Chains Fit 2025 BMW iX xDrive50

Question:
I just bought a 2025 BMW iX xDrive50. It came with 20” summer tires. I live on a 15 grade on the side of a mountain in AK. I hope to get some 255/50R21 Nokian Hakapolita 10 Studded tires on 21” wheels. I’d like to also have a set of chains. The user manual says only use chains on the rear wheels. I care more about stopping than going so I’d really prefer them on the front. I was hoping these would work: Konig K-Summit Tire Chains - Part Number: TH02230K77 Any thoughts or suggestions?

Hi Ben; I'm assuming you want to add the Konig K-Summit Tire Chains # TH02230K77 to your 20" tires and not the studded tires. What is the exact tire size? As long as they match one of the tire sizes listed further down on the product page they will fit the actual tires.
However, if the manual says to only use them on the rear wheels I can't recommend adding them to the front. Ultimately it is up to you, you can add them to the front if you wish but you might run into problems with steering or even braking which is your main concern. It might be less of an issue for someone like yourself who is used to driving with chains in snowy/icy conditions.
