Is There a Grommet or Heat Shrink at the Back of the Pollak 6-Pole Round Pin Wiring Socket?

Does this come with heat shrink or a rubber grommet at the back, or is it open letting the wiring rot due to water and road spray?

Hey Derrick. There's a rubber boot that goes over the back of the Pollak 6-Pole, Round Pin, Trailer Wiring Socket item # PK11608. You can see it in the product video I linked below. This a pretty common design amongst these connectors. You can seal off the end with electrical tape.
