Can I replace my existing MaxxAir 14x14 roof fan with this unit?

Sarah, yes, you’re in luck. The Velit # VE99QV 48v ac unit kit is designed to drop right into a standard 14 inch x 14 inch roof opening, so you can swap it with your fan without cutting new holes. The full mounting kit and gasket are included, so it’s a straightforward install. One thing to note is that some camper roofs are not rated enough for the weight of an AC unit, so you'll want to confirm with the manufacturer or reinforce the roof.
Are you planning to DIY this install or have a shop do it? If doing yourself, the install is actually very simple. The 2 cables just connect to your battery bank so you won't need to do any splicing or custom wiring with the existing Maxxair harness. Just don't use any of that stuff. :)
Other folks, any install tips from experience? Switching from 110v to 12 or 48v dc etc.?
