Off-Grid 48V DC Air Conditioner Kit For 2021 Sprinter Class B Motorhome In Texas Summer
Published 08/19/2025 >
Question:
I’ve got a 2021 Sprinter van rv with a 48V lithium system. Will the Velit 2000R 10k BTU be enough to keep me cool in Texas summers?

Alex, the Velit RV AC Unit 48v # VE99QV is a strong match for your Sprinter! At 10,000 BTUs and a 48V compressor, it’s designed for exactly the kind of off-grid, high-heat situations you’ll run into in Texas with your class B RV. It’ll cover up to about 20 feet of van length and sip power compared to a 120V rooftop unit. It's also extremely quiet.
With a solid lithium bank like you’ve got, you’ll be in great shape. How large is your current battery bank? That’ll help me give you a better sense of run time. And by how large, I mean the "AH rating" which should be labeled on each battery.
