Is this product compatible with a 2017 Ford Explorer that has raised side rails?

Hi Janice!
By raised rails, do you mean the factory flush rails? I am not seeing the 2017 Ford Explorer came with raised rails.
If they are flush rails, you will need something like the Rhino-Rack RVP Roof Rack for Fixed Mounting Points - Vortex Aero Crossbars - Aluminum - Qty 2 # RRRVP45 to get the Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - 64-1/2" Long x 37" Wide x 4" Tall - 150 lbs # C18115-117 attached. This cargo carrier needs crossbars to grab onto.
If you do have the raised rails, you can use something like the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack - Aero Crossbars - Raised Side Rails - Aluminum - 58" Long - Black # MAL84AR to attach to them. The Curt # C18115-117 basket will fit this option as well.

Hi Janice, Did you find out if your Ford Explorer has flush or raised rails, and were you able to get the right roof rack for your cargo basket? I'm asking because your experience could help others with similar vehicles.
