Question:

What would be good the weight rate of double-eye leaf springs for my 1992 Calkins double axles boat trailer carrying abt 5,000 lb boat on it? Weight rate for each of four springs? Thank you

Hi Alex!

Do you my chance know the capacity of your axles and length of your current leaf springs? This is not something we can find for specific trailers, unfortunately.

Odds are they are 3,500 pound axles, but things in the 90s were not as standardized as they are now, so I would double check. If they are, something like the etrailer 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/8" Long # e54SR may be a good option, but your measurement may be different,

If you can get me the axle capacity and length of your springs, I should be able to find you something. : )
