Hello Brett,

The RV Air Conditioner refrigerant went from the R410a to the R32 this year. The new R32 is much more efficient making it a win-win for the environment and the consumer. The downfall to the new refrigerant is that the R410a parts will not work with the new R32 parts, resulting in you needing a whole new set-up.

Since the unit you are replacing is a 13,500 BTU, I would go with the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System - Single Zone - 13,500 Btu - White - R32 # ADV95SR.

Is this going in your own person RV, or in a customers? We appreciate you having a Dealer account with us =)

Hi Kate, This is for a customer. The entire system needs to be replaced, as the remote will not operate cooling mode. Replacing the system is straight forward with the exception of this being a remote control operated system. There is no thermostat, thus no thermostat wires in the wall. Does Advent offer a ducted system that operates from a remote? Thank you, Brett Heartland Mobile RV Service

@Brett Advent does not have one with a remote. The only system we have with a remote is a 18,000 BTU, the Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w Air Distribution Box - Ducted - 18,000 Btu - White # FR99TD. You can sell your customer on how much quieter it is (cause it really is), and how much quicker it will cool their camper down with the 18,000BTU. The Remote has a neat follow me feature too, can finally get that annoying hot spot in the camper to the desired temperature.

@KateF, The issue with the Furrion Chill Cube, as I understand it, they do not yet have a control box to integrate furnace control. The current system operates A/C and furnace from the same control. Thanks, Brett Heartland Mobile RV Service

@Brett That is the downfall to the Furrion remote, if you got the system with the thermostat then it can also control the furnace. The only systems we have to control both the furnace and AC would be the ones with the wall thermostat.
