Question:

We own a 2018 crew cab , 8 bed 3500, Silverado. We have taken the tailgate with a factory backup camera off so that we can haul our slide in truck camper. I would like to purchase a backup camera that would plug directly into the factory camera wiring. However I would like to have a wiring extension so that I could mount the new camera on the front of the 8 truck bed so that I could use it for loading the slide in camper.

Hey Ivan, I think I’ve got a couple of options that might work for you.

We do carry 3rd brake light backup cameras, and the right choice really depends on how your truck is currently equipped. Based on what you’ve told me so far, one of the two options below should be a good fit.

# 3460011 - For trucks with a factory reverse camera and 7-inch screen.
# 3460010 - For trucks with a factory reverse camera and 8-inch screen.

I don't have anything else, backup camera wise, that would be a plug-in option. If this isn't what you're looking for. Let me know and I can look into alternative options.
