Where do you hook up the hot from the battery to the wiring harness for trailer lights?

Hey David, the pin in the 1:00 pin position of the 7-way part # HM40975 is the 12 volt accessory circuit that you would need to connect the battery to. 1:00 as you are facing the open connector from the front.
