Can 2 e-Bikes Weighing 40 lbs be Carried on the Thule Elite Van XT 2 Bike Rack

Question:
Each of our e bikes weigh 40 lbs without the battery. We also have a bike rack on the back of each bike. We are close to the weight limit. What is your recommendation?

As long as you aren't exceeding the weight rating of the Thule Elite Van XT 2 Bike Rack for Ram ProMaster Rear Door # TH302013, you'll be good to go!
It's worth noting that each tray can handle up to a 42 lb bike, but the rack altogether can only handle up to 77 lbs of bikes when they are combined. So, we're looking at 2 bikes weighing 38-1/2 lbs each when divided equally. Do you think you could remove the rack on the back of each to drop them closer to that 38-1/2 lbs?
