Can I use the RodVault 4 with my Prinsu roof rack?

Hey Bart, not directly, but it can be done! The Thule RodVault 4 Pole Carrier # TH34FR55YR uses wrap-around clamps designed for round, square, or aero-style crossbars, and unfortunately doesn’t work with flat slat-style racks like the Prinsu platform which utilize T slot channels. Since Prinsu racks don’t have traditional bars to clamp around, you'd need the optional crossbar add-on from Prinsu.
We had a customer, Dave in Boise, add two crossbars across his Prinsu rack to run the RodVault on his 4Runner. It worked well for him and looked really nice.
If you want a cleaner solution for a Prinsu rack, let us know your setup and we can walk you through alternatives, including bar adapters or different rod carriers that are T-slot friendly. For example, the Yakima TopWater Rooftop Fishing Rod Carrier 8 poles # Y04088 can be used with a T slot when paired with SmarT-Slot Mounting Kit # Y04094.
