Solution for Keeping Coupler Secure on Ball Mount

Updated 08/15/2025 | Published 07/15/2025

Question:

I have a 13 foot vintage trillium fiberglass camper. The trailer hitch came of the ball during travel. I bought a coupler repair kit. Is there any other product I could purchase to ensure this does not occur again. Thanks

Hey Peter! Hopefully nobody was hurt, including your camper. Since you have a trigger latch I would add a lock like the InfiniteRule Trailer Coupler Lock # IR58FR. This will keep it secure while you're hooked up to the ball mount on your vehicle and prevent it from coming unlatched while towing.

Hey Peter, did the coupler lock work out for you and keep your trailer secure? I'm asking because it could help others with similar issues. Let me know if you need more assistance!
