Hi, I am Matt at etrailer. Today we'll be talking about the etrailer chains. Now, these are gonna be the ones with the three eighth links and you can also get it in different lengths. You can get it in 10 feet, 16 feet, and 20 feet. Now, these are gonna be some solid chains that are gonna last a long time. I've had my hands on a lot of chains being here at etrailer and when I was in the military.
Now, with these ones, there are gonna be a couple things that stand out to me and we can actually take a closer look at what does. So, a couple things that do stand out to me about them is gonna be the actual welds we have. A lot of chains I've had in the past, the welds can be a little bit large and it can be kind of difficult sometimes getting that hook to wrap around those chains. So, they just kind of get in the way. This you shouldn't have that problem since they are relatively flat to the rest of the link.
And these are gonna be grade 70 steel chains. So, what that means for us is, they're gonna be very strong and they're gonna have a weight capacity of 6,600 pounds. So, just make sure the equipment is gonna work with that and always go from the lowest rated component. Another thing that stands out is gonna be the zinc plating we have. That zinc plating is gonna help it be more rust resistant, especially when we're going cross-country or cross-state in a lot of different weather conditions with the rain, snow.
We wanna make sure these don't rust, so they will last a long time. And I did wanna point out the clevis hook. Now, it's gonna be made out of the same material and this is actually a smaller hook and I like that 'cause if you have any loops you need to pass this through, it will fit in most cases. Now, in some cases when it doesn't fit, you can simply just remove it. It's gonna be held in place with a pin and a cotter pin, so it shouldn't take too long to actually do.
And you can mount that to your links. Now, I will say this is also gonna have the size on it. It's gonna be on the inside right now, and that's gonna say three eighths. So, if you ever do forget what type of links this can go with, there it is right there. But other than that, there's not really a lot to 'em. Now, I would recommend checking out some of our kits we have at etrailer. You can get some of these chains with a binder that'll pair with them, 'cause chances are, if you're replacing one of your chains, you are gonna have to replace one of your binders. And if you guys have any other questions or you need a little bit more inquiry on what our kits consist of, or you need help choosing the right type of chains for you, let us know here at etrailer. And again, I'm Matt, and thanks for watching.
