Will the Thule Outset work on my 2021 Subaru Outback with a 2inch hitch?

Yes, the Thule Outset Hitch-Mounted Tent # TH34FR39XB will work great with your Outback as long as your 2" hitch has a tongue weight rating of at least 165 lbs. The tent itself weighs around 140 lbs, and while it doesn’t carry the weight of people while driving, the hitch needs to be strong enough to support the tent when mounted.
We recommend checking your hitch's sticker and your owner’s manual for tongue weight rating. According to the online manual of your car, it looks like it's going to be either 270lbs or 350lbs depending on the trim and options, so you should be fine regardless!
Also note: the Outset is designed for off-vehicle use. You’ll deploy it like a trailer, then unhook the vehicle so you’re not “carrying” people or gear while connected.
Where are you planning to head with it first ? Sedona, maybe?
