Recommended Electric Trailer Dolly w/ Brakes for Backing Up a Driveway

Updated 08/07/2025 | Published 07/14/2025

Question:

I have a Keystone Passport camper trailer, weighs 6300 lbs. I have a tough driveway where I cant back my trailer up and make proper turn to park it, roughly 90 degree at top of driveway. Will this be what I need for this? My driveway is not steep at all, but I need to make sure it has a brake so it doesnt roll down while moving it? 2022 Passport 2870RL I have attached picture looking up driveway, at the top and where it will be parked Please advise thanks!

Thanks for the pictures Paul! What's the slope on your driveway? The Parkit360 Force Electric Trailer Dolly item # PA46VR only works on slopes up to 6%. You're good with the weight capacity and you'll definitely be able to make that turn. It has the requested built in brake as well.

Hey Paul, how did the Parkit360 Electric Trailer Dolly work out for your driveway situation? I'm curious to know if it helped you make that tricky turn and kept everything secure with the built-in brake.
