Best Cover For An Aliner Expedition Pop-Up Camper

Updated 07/16/2025 | Published 07/07/2025

Question:

I am looking for a cover for my Aliner Expedition. Im told it is important that the cover is breathable. Reading the description of the CAMCO Ultraguard CAM45764, which I am interested in, it describes a breathable layer, but it also sounds as if it is sandwiched between non-breathable layers. Is this cover fully breathable or would you recommend a different cover? Thanks.

Hi Brian!

Having a cover that is breathable is definitely important. If it isn't, mold can form and you really don't want that. That said, if you are in a dryer area of the country, it is a little less important than if you are in a more humid part of the country. The Camco UltraGuard # CAM45764 you found will work in either scenario, so it is a good option. The layers of spun bond polypropylene are still breathable so this is a good option for sure.

The Adco # 290-2894 is a little more heavy duty with 4 ply instead of 3 and fits the same 12" to 14" pop-up campers, but it will be less breathable than the Camco. This will be better for dryer, higher wind areas (think high desert or something), but not as good in humid areas. Choosing the best one will depend on where you will be storing your camper.

Speaking of your camper, any more trips planned for the year or are you getting it ready for storage?

Thanks Lazer! That's exactly the information I was looking for about the breathability. Not quite ready to store the camper yet (assuming these east coast storms will ease off) - just researching what I'll need when the time comes.
