Question:

I have a 2023 Tacoma access cab. My wife has difficulty getting in and I am looking for a running board or bar that sits 4-5 inches below the door. I can’t tell from the information on the web here how far down the running boards or nerf bars sit. Thanks Geoff

Hi Geoff; most of the running boards/nerf bars for your 2023 Tacoma sit right at the door. The Westin R7 Nerf Bars # 28-71125 will sit approximately 3" lower which is as good as it gets for the standard bars. The only other option would be the Aries ActionTrac Motorized Running Boards # AA3047954. These have an automatic step extension that comes down 8" from the top step. That is a little more than you need but I imagine it would still work well for your wife.
