Replacement Recommendation for 3.5K Single Leaf Trailer Spring

Updated 09/02/2025 | Published 06/29/2025

Question:

I have a trailer that has two single-leaf leaf springs on it, one snapped recently. Need to replace both at the same time. Need it to be at least 3500lb weight rating per spring. The measurement from center to center on the mounting bolts is 26.5” under load. What length of spring do I need to replace them?

Hey Isaac, thanks for reaching out!

I'm guessing the photo you sent in was of the busted spring? The closest thing we have to working for your setup is the 4-Leaf Slipper Spring w/ Flat End # e89SR. This is rated for 3,700 lb axles and measures 30" from the center of the eye to the very end of the leaf spring, so it should fit your application just fine.

Typically the best way to measure the correct spring length for a slipper spring is to measure from the center eye to the end while it isn't under load so you get the most natural position of the spring.

What do you think about this spring as a replacement?

Hey Isaac, Did the 4-Leaf Slipper Spring work out as a replacement for your trailer? I'm curious to know if it fit well and solved your issue, as it could help others in a similar situation.
