Parts Needed to Convert AC Shore Power to 12V DC
Updated 09/02/2025 | Published 06/29/2025 >
Question:
I was wondering if this kind of product even exists. I have a small tear trailer which has a single Lithium 1v 100Ah battery. It charges via a trailer 7 pin connector either from my vehicle or my solar panel which also plugs into the 7 pin. Does any kind of adapter for 7 pin to a standard wall plug or RV 30 amp exist or is that too different of a power? Just wondering if I can plug in at a powered camp site. Thanks!

Hi Todd; there is nothing that will specifically work with a 7-way like that. What you need is a converter like the Go Power RV Converter and Smart Battery Charger - 12V - 35 Amp # 34266167. This will convert AC shore power to DC power so you can charge your batteries and run other 12V loads in the trailer.
What kind of tear trailer do you have?
