Can a Dometic Thermostat be Installed on a 2014 Eclipse Iconic Toy Hauler?

Question:
I have a 14 Eclipse Iconic toy hauler, the thermostat was missing, I have a brand new Dometic digital three wire thermostat that I bought for another rv and didnt use, I found the + and - and connected them and it lit up theres 5 wires left, white, blue, green, brown and violet, Ive got an E1 code loss of communication between CT thermostat and module board, how can I find the 3rd wire?

Hey Greg, thanks for reaching out!
What AC unit do you have on your toy hauler? While I'd love to say you can use your new Dometic thermostat with any AC unit, that might not be the case. If it's a Dometic, then let me know what the thermostat is and I'll see if I can locate a wiring diagram for you, but if you have a different brand AC, then you'll be better off having a professional do the installation to make sure everything is connected to the correct function.
So, what thermostat model do you have, and what AC do you have?

Thanks for your reply Jon, I ended up taking the inside vent cover off and discovered which wire I needed to connect to the thermostat and everything works as it should now. Greg N
