Do Lithium Batteries Need to be In Different Compartment from Inverter
Updated 09/02/2025 | Published 06/19/2025 >
Question:
I note you say to not install this invertor in the same compartment with the batteries. However, does this also apply to completely sealed lithium batteries? I have a 320 amp Dakota brand 12 volt lithium battery.? THANKS!

Hey Steve, this is a great question but it's still recommended to have lithium batteries in a different compartment from inverters like the part # RED23RR because lithium batteries can put off gas if they get damaged. Normal operation you are absolutely correct they are sealed and do not pose a risk since they don't put off any corrosive gases that could be flammable.
