Question:
Looking for a new 2” ball mount with a 2 5/16 ball. I currently have a 2023 Ram 1500 and a 2025 Flagstaff EPro 20FBS. I presently have a Reese WDH but it is very heavy. I have seen many posts that with smaller trailers that you don’t need a WDH. Would be interested in your thoughts and any recommendations for the mount. Thank you

Hey Gary, congrats on the new trailer. For a 2" ball mount, I recommend the etrailer Adjustable 2-Ball Mount item # e66PR. This ball mount comes with both a 2" and 2-5/16" hitch ball with 7,500 lbs and 10,000 lbs capacity. It has an adjustable 6” rise or drop for level towing with different trailer heights.
Before you give completely up on your WDH, I recommend driving around without the spring bars attached and seeing how trailer handles.
Is using the WDH on your new trailer causing an uncomfortable ride or do you just not like setting the thing up? You can add this information and any other questions you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.

Hey Gary, did you get a chance to try driving without the spring bars on your WDH to see how the trailer handles? I'm curious to know if that helped with the ride or setup, as it might be useful for others in a similar situation.
