Need Replacement Leaf Springs For 2019 Coleman Light Travel Trailer 2835BH

Updated 09/08/2025 | Published 06/06/2025

Question:

I have a 2019 Coleman light travel trailer 2835BH, I have to replace the leaf springs and it’s giving me 2 different options due to the sizes being so close together so for a 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axle so it’s either e54SR: 25-1/8 inches long or DX23CR: 25-1/4 inches long Is there a huge difference in the 1/4 or the 1/8 and which one should I get?

Hello Nathan, thanks for reaching out. To answer your question, the 1/8" difference is not going to make a difference when replacing your leaf springs.

That said, leaf springs are not a custom fitted part you can look up using our fit guide. There is not a universal database that tells you the leaf spring specs based on a make an model of camper. Campers and trailers just are not standardized like that.

The best practice when replacing leaf springs is to jack up one side of the trailer, and measure your leaf springs when unloaded. Leaf springs are measured from center-eye to center-eye across. Also note the number of leaves, and check your axle tag and confirm the axle weight capacity. We would then select whichever spring matches the axle capacity, and is closest to the length of the stock spring. It is normal for leaf springs to flatten out a bit over time, so with new springs we typically try to go on the side of shorter rather than longer. Depending what is available of course.

Confirm those specs for me and I am happy to look into it. Replying on this page is the fastest way to get ahold of me.
