Question:
I bought aa 281th prowler from a dealer, used. They had to have put armour-all or some similar shiny and slippery-as-hell coating on it. Can not walk up or down the ramp at all. What can I do to take this off? Gorilla tape/duct tape do not stick at all. cleaned small spot with laquer thinner, but cvant see that on the whole ramp.

Hey Kevin. Have you tried using a degreaser on it? Something like the All Purpose Cleaner and Degreaser item # BE74VR and a power washer would be my recommendation to get that coating off.
You may try reaching out to the dealer and finding out exactly what they put on your trailer so you can see how long it lasts and possibly what it'll take to remove it.

Tried all that. Ecolab concentrated degreaser, about a 8:1 mix with water, Used straight formula 409 in one spot, and I was actually able to get some gorilla tape to stick. Finally took it to a carwash with about 3 lbs of quarters. Engine degreaser, scrub with soap brush, rinse w/ high pressure soap, repeat, then repeat again. Most of it I can sort of stand on now. I just misted it with water, and dusted it with laundry soap, scrub, scrub, scrub. I might be able to get the 12" wide grip tape to stick to it this weekend. Wish me luck. Thank you for your ideas.
