Question:

We have a spicy curry ebike - wheelbase 1430mm and 60 lbs - and we have a Subaru forester 2015. How can we carry this bike with the car? There’s the potential to remove the front tire for transit if that helps in any way.

Hello Destiny, that is a pretty cool bike. The best way to carry that with your 2015 Subaru Forester will be to install a trailer hitch with a 2" receiver part # e98839, then use an E-bike rated platform rack. For the bike rack I recommend the following:

This rack is perfect for heavy e-bikes. It has a weight capacity of 80 lbs per bike. It can accommodate a wheelbase up to 60". It uses a ratcheting hook that mounts to the frame, so the cargo rack and front fenders on your bike will not be an issue. We do recommend removing the battery when you transport the bike, but you will not need to remove anything else. It will even allow you to carry a second bike if you want to go riding with a friend.
