Can The Blue Ox Base Plate Be Purchased Without Cables And Removable Arms?

Hello, Is it possible to purchase the car base plate Part Number: BX2252 without the cables and pins because we just switch between two cars so already have those items. Thanks, Brian

Hello Brian, thanks for reaching out. We do have the Blue Ox Base Plate # BX2252 available, but it is only sold as a complete kit with the hardware, cables and removable arms. Blue Ox just does not piece out their base plate kits like that, so if you need a new one, you will have to get the full kit. It probably will not hurt to have an extra pair of the removable arms on hand. They are notorious for going missing.

So, to be clear, if I lose one of my existing pins, I need to buy a whole kit to replace it. Does the same hold true for the cables? Do you stock any spare parts for your products? Where are these made, China? Great for business, not the planet.

@Brian So you can get the removable arms # BLU57XR and the permanent base plate cables # BX88208 by themselves, but there would be no way to get just the base plate without those items, since the base plates are sold as a full kit. All Blue Ox products are made here in the USA.

@JesseM I have an idea for you, Grab a full base plate kit, remove the pins and cables (which you can store for future sale as a separate item), and send the plate to me. Everyone wins, including the planet.

@Brian I really wish we could but we just aren't able to break down base plate kits like that. Blue Ox could drop us as a vendor if we start doing that. It would be a violation of our contract as a vendor. You may want to try reaching out directly to Blue Ox. They might be able to provide just the parts you are wanting. Otherwise the only solution would be a whole new base plate kit.
